Our staff consists of undergraduates from all disciplines across the university, but those especially interested in publishing, media relations, Web technologies, and creative writing. Such diversity allows for multiple perspectives regarding the submissions we receive, and often results in vigorous discussions in our office in Drown Hall.
Over the last years we have utilized the various talents of our diverse editorial staff to expand Amaranth’s range and web-presence, so that, in addition to writing and art, most issues now include memoirs, interviews with authors, Best of the Blogs, and, we expect in the not-too-distant future, works of experimental digital fiction. Each fall we publish an online supplement featuring both undergraduate and graduate work, and in spring publish a print edition featuring work from both fall and spring. The best of these works produced by undergraduates are eligible for entry for the Williams/Amaranth prizes.
